Krista Womble

Krista has coached softball for 12 years at the youth, high school, and travel ball levels in Alabama and in Georgia. Krista coached for the Birmingham Vipers travel organization as well as the Bases Loaded Lady Bombers organization. Her knowledge of the game of softball, training, coaching, promoting, and recruiting has led to many of her players being awarded scholarships at the collegiate level. 

Krista played NCAA softball at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL as a starting outfielder/ lefty slapper, where she graduated with a Bachelors in Political Science and went on to receive a Masters in Public Administration from Troy University. Krista was a member of the Great South Athletic Conference championship team in 2003 and in 2004. She also played junior college ball for Bishop State Community College in Mobile, AL, and was a NJCCC All- American. Krista’s high school career was at Shaw High School in Mobile, Alabama where she was a 4 year varsity pitcher. Krista served as a pitcher throughout her high school career where she won many awards including Mobile County Athlete of the Year, Mobile All County Team (3 years), Mobile Press Register Player of the Year, Kiwanis Club Player of the Year, and United States Marine Corp Distinguished Athlete Award.  

Krista helps girls of all ages with fielding, hitting, and pitching lessons.
